Remote desktop software has brought us great convenience, but at the same time we should also be careful about account security to prevent information leakage and scam issue.

Don’t trust strangers who ask you to download or register DeskIn!!

If SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW asks you to follow their instructions and install DeskIn over the phone or through social media, WARNING THAT YOU MAY BE BEING SCAMMED! Please hang up and stop contacting them immediately. They are likely a scammer trying to ask you to change your password, steal your information and money. Don't trust them! DeskIn does not cooperate with any banks or Ticketmaster institutions. Remember never provide your bank card or other personal information on phone or social media easily. Do log in your account on other people’s devices, or provide account passwords or serial passwords to others.

What to do if you realize that you may have been scammed

If you have already registered a DeskIn account under the guidance of others, the following steps can help you avoid malicious access to your device.

1. Enter security settings and uncheck "Allow access to this device" or check "Always manually agreed by me when connected by different accounts", and you can also set a security password and black and white list to enhance security.

2. Log out your account on other devices.

On DeskIn Client: Go to the Device List, right-click the device you don't know >> Delete. If it is a device under the same account, the system will prompt you whether you want to log out of the account on the device.

Mobile device DeskIn: Go to the Device List, click on the device you don't know, click the three dots in the upper right corner to enter Device Information >> Edit device >> Delete.

3. Delete your DeskIn account and Uninstall DeskIn on your mobile phone, computer, etc.

4. If you have information leakage or property loss due to scam, please contact DeskIn officials by email: support@deskin.io, and seek help from the police.

How to delete a DeskIn account?

Go to the DeskIn personal center of the on webpage and click "Delete Account" in the lower left corner.

How to ensure the security of your account when using DeskIn daily?

1. Set a Security Password and change it regularly

In addition to the temporary password, it is recommended that you set a unique security password and change it regularly.

2. Add security settings

If you want to increase the security of using DeskIn, go to "Settings" >> "Security", check more options to enhance security, such as "Verify system password when connecting to this device", "Always manually agreed by me when connected by different accounts", "Lock screen after each remote access ".

3. Do not log in to your account on other people’s device

If you are temporarily using an unfamiliar device, it is recommended not to log in to your account to avoid information leakage.
